1847, 5¢ red brown (1), large to huge margins showing a bit of the adjacent stamp at right with beautiful rich Brown shade and an excellent early impression, bright red grid cancel. Small manuscript stroke on reverse (not mentioned in cert) shows through faintly but does not detract. Fresh, Extremely Fine and handsome.
