1908, 5¢ blue, imperf (315), horizontal pair with large margins all around. Tied to piece by three strikes of a magenta SHASTA SPRINGS, CAL./ M.O.B. double circle dated Sept. 15, 1908, the earliest documented use of #315, negligible toning around edges of pair (certificate overstates as "staining"). Still Extremely Fine.
