IIia cut TL, slightly overlapping and tied by New York 4-bar postmarks on Oct. 1851 circular and letter from Rotterdam, a so-called "bootleg" usage, confusin gly addressed to "Andover Mass. N.Y.", red "Auburn N.Y. Nov. 11" c.d.s. and manuscript. "Missent" at top, greenish Holland merchant's oval on face, stamps with some excess gum at edges, Fine, an attractive and rare Plate 1 Early usage.
