1867, 2¢ black, F. grill (93), tied by fancy circle of Vs on illustrated gun cover for Farr & Alford's American Cased Shot, to New Brunswick, lithographed vignette of gentlemen hunters and dog with obligatory bird in mouth, additional blind embossed ad on flap for guns, pistols, ammunition, etc.; cover with tiny toned spot at top left, Very Fine and rare, probably the finest Black Jack gun cover extant.
