Feb. 11, double circle date stamp and matching "10" handstamp on gray adversity cover made from a conscript exemption form, to Collingsburg La., original 1863 enclosure headed "Camp Near Pine Bluff Ark." from a member of the 13th Texas Cavalry to his brother with lengthy contents, mostly about substitutes: "Now James if you are not in the Confederate Service do go to Texas for me and try to get me a Sub you can hire someone to attend to you hands for a few days until you get back and I will pay all expenses and will give you $2000 dollars if you cannot get one any cheaper." etc., endorsement along top of envelope, fresh and Very Fine.
