Sherman, Roger (1721-1793), Only person to sign America's four major state papers, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Association, the Articles of Confederation (which he helped draft), and the Federal Constitution. 3¾ x 6½ ADS while Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court, New Haven, Nov. 25, 1786, order to State Treasurer John Lawrence to pay 23s3d to Elijah Austin from monies due Sherman on debenture for the last circuit. Few small slight edge faults.
