Walton, George (1741-1804), Georgia Signer of the Declaration of Independence. 12 x 7 ¼ partly-printed DS as Chief Justice of Georgia, no place, August 26, 1784, summons for William LeComte to appear in superior court in Chatham County. Signed also by attorney for plaintiffs. On verso is ANS signed by jury foreman dated March 4, 1785, finding for plaintiff in sum of £110,000, with paper seal. Light toning, folds archivally strengthened or repaired on verso.
