TLS in English on his 8½ x 11 personal Princeton letterhead, May 18, 1945, to Herbert Schneider, Department of Philosophy, Columbia University. Einstein, because of health, declines to come to a memorial for Ernst Cassirer despite his "high esteem for [his] clear thought and admirable analytical power." Folds. Beautifully matted with a portrait and metallic plaque and framed to 19 x 23 overall. Handsome presentation.
