Prokofiev, Sergei Sergeyevich (1891-1953), Russian composer of Peter and the Wolf, film music, operas, ballets, symphonies and orchestral works, etc. 5¼ x 4½ registered letter address panel completed by him in Russian and signed "S. S. Prokofiev", addressed to Ilya Gregorievich Bindler, Board of Directors, Bolshoi Theater, Moscow. Postmarked with two Russian stamps, no place, no date. Matted with 4 x 5 photograph signed and dated 1951 at top right. Surface abrasion affects part of two letters in his small signature. Framed to 11¾ x 14¾ overall.
