Hawaii, First Telegram from the U.S. Mainland to Hawaii, Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co. of America telegram from "Gravison" (Lindley Garrison) Sec. of War to Maj. General Canter at Honolulu dated Sept 25, 1914, extending "greetings to the people of Hawaii on this our first opportunity for direct communication by the most modern of means(.) This occasion merely serves to emphasize the close ties that will always bind the people of this country to our fellow citizens in Hawaii…" with original orange "Marconigram" envelope in which the telegram was delivered; an important historical document.
