1917, 3¢ violet, type I, coil (493), tied by New York machine cancel, Feb 14, 1918, on windowed electrical supplies advertising cover to Uruguay, two different N.Y. postage due markings, one outgoing (in centimes, illegible), resulting in a 4c Uruguay postage due being added to pay the deficiency and tied at Montevideo on Mar 24, and the 2nd, "Due 4 Cents", on return to N.Y. on June 19 after having been handstamped (in Spanish) "Refused" and "Unclaimed" and returned to sender, VF and unusual, nice illustrated advertising on reverse including an early telephone, rate should have been 5¢ + 1¢ war tax = 6¢ leaving a 3¢ shortage + a 1¢ penalty = 4¢ due.
