REG'D." c.d.s.s Jan 29 1910 on registered cover to Germany, violet straight line "REGISTERED/JAN 29 1910/U.S. POSTAL Agency,/Shanhai, China." and Germany registry label on front, backstamped Hong Kong transit Feb 8, Frankfurt-Karlsruhe railroad oval March 8 and same day Wiesbaden receiver; a bit of minor staining but an unusual usage and a spectacular franking paying the 5¢ U.P.U. letter rate plus 10¢ for registration.
