Canada, 1873, 3¢ orange red (37c var), neat straight line (RE)GISTE(RED) cancel, strong partial offset of the 2¢ registered letter stamp on reverse. Extremely Fine. previously unreported.This would seem to prove conclusively that the 3¢ Small Queens and the 2¢ registered letter stamps were printed at the same time, in the same place and with the same inks.
