Canada, 1872, 3¢ dull red (37), tied by blue cork cancel on cover from Stanstead to London, Ont., postmarked Aug 12 (1814), backstamped Aug 14, handstamped "MORE-TO-PAY" and "7", Very Fine, Found to be double weight, short-paid was considered unpaid and was assessed at 5¢ per oz. or 10¢. Allowing credit of 3¢ balance due was 7¢.
