Canada, 1888, 3¢ bright vermilion (41), tied by Montreal duplex, June 27, 1894, on 1¢ postal card to Paris, France, 1¢ card was illegal for overseas use but the sender, by paying double the U.P.U. postcard rate of 2¢ saved a penny and the cost of an envelope, as the card was obviously accepted, F-VF and most unusual.
