Canada, 1872-88, 3¢ bright vermilion and 2¢ green (41, 36), two of each tied on cover from St. John, N.B. to India, Oct 27, 1892, addressed to a Major in the "2nd Oxfordshire Light Infantry, India", backstamped London Nov 7 and Indian Sea Post Office Nov 21, then held at the Dead Letter Office in Bombay (backstamped Nov 26 & 28) until the Major's whereabouts were determined, marked for delivery in Toungoo and backstamped Rangoon and Toungoo on Dec 8, forwarded to Barielly (backstamped Dec 10) where it finally was received, docketing reads "Ans'd Dec 27th/92"; F-VF double rate cover showing determination by the Indian P.O. to deliver the mail.
