New Zealand 1901-08 1d Universal Penny Postage (99/129), Specialized collection of several hundred stamps neatly mounted and annotated according to watermark, plate, paper, and perforation, as well as by position. Included are 158 mint stamps, mostly in blocks of four or larger (up to a block of 16), a First Day Cover (Jan 1, 1908) and a reconstruction of Waterlow plates 1 & 2 which apparently contains 232 of the possible 240 positions, each mounted on a blowup of the stamp with the details of each position highlighted. A marvelous lot, virtually all F-VF. Scott value alone, with no regard for Gibbons varieties, is over $2,500.
