2¢ Brown (113), two copies tied in combination with 15¢ black Lincoln (#77) to cover to Rome, Italy by red "Baltimore, Md Aug 17" duplex postmarks with red dot in center of circle, these attractive postmarks were only used on foreign mails from Baltimore, red "New York Paid All Br. Transit Aug 18" transit backstamp, correct 19¢ rate by German Mails with "Verviers-Coeln Franco" transit datestamp and "4" handstamp for 4¢ amount above 15¢ rate for mails beyond Germany to Italy, red crayon weiterfranco (paid beyond) endorsement and Rome arrival backstamp, cover minor edge wear. Very Fine and attractive use.
