1847, 5¢ red brown (1), close but clear margins to ample at right, fine impression, tied by red grid, matching "Batavia N.Y. Dec. 11" c.d.s. on 1848 printed invitation for a "Whig Ball" in celebration of the election of Zachary Taylor and Millard Fillmore with brief note in manuscript at bottom, all in gold on pale yellow; lettersheet with some edge wear, minor wrinkling, still Fine, believed to be unique.
