1847, 5¢ red brown (1), two singles still attached at top, rich deep shade and superb impression, tied by bold pen strokes on 1848 folded letter from Louisville to New York with bold red "STEAM" straightline and matching "Cincinnati 10 Aug. 16" c.d.s.; lettersheet with natural paper bend which passes under left stamp, Very Fine and rare, attractive usage.
