1847, 5¢ red brown (1), ample to large margins except in at bottom, deep clear impression, tied by red grid and matching "Boston 5 cts. 13 Jul." c.d.s. used with 1¢ blue on slate (3LB1), mostly ample margins, uncanceled, on 1849 folded cover to Salem, Mass.; 1¢ with usual gum toning, which "ties" the stamp through the envelope, otherwise Very Fine, rare and handsome combination.
