1847, 10¢ black (2), ample to huge margins, clear at bottom, tied by orange red grid, matching "Norfolk Va. Aug. 12" c.d.s. on 1847 folded letter to Dundee, Scotland, bold shilling handstamp alongside stamp, reverse with Liverpool and Dundee postmarks, in addition to "TOO LATE" in fancy frame; file folds, one passing beneath stamp but apparently not creasing it, and small hole in outer page of lettersheet at lower right, Fine, rare early transoceanic usage.
