Baron Michel., French Brigadier.

ALS, 7½" x 12", Dresden, 1813 July 30, as Brigadier of the Foot Grenadier Guards, asking a Monseigneur le Prince for maps of the war theater to be sent to a captain at the Bonaparte barracks who is to forward them to Dresden. Request was granted, stamped also by Michel's private secretary. normal overall toning, nevertheless well preserved and Very Good.

Written around the time of the Grande Armeé's defeat at Leipzig (Battle of Nations, October 1813) which led to France being invaded and to Napoleon's abdication in April 1814.
