1847, 5¢ orange brown (1b), horizontal pair, margins to slightly in, matching pen cancels, pretty shade and impression from the reworked plate of 1850, on 1851 pale green folded letter to Baltimore with clear "Bethany O. June 14" rimless postmark in red with manuscript date, cover has had stain removal and a sealed tear, neither of which begin to affect the appearance, Fine and exceptionally attractive.

No 1847 stamps of either denomination were received at Bethany. This style postmark is extraordinarily rare with the 1847 issue.
