St. Louis, Mo., 1845, 5¢ black on greenish (11X1), type III, position 5, large margins except barely touched at lower left, cancelled solely by the light red St. Louis datestamp. Slight doubling of design caused by paper slippage ("skid print"), small sealed tear at top. Fresh Very Fine appearance.
