St. Louis, Mo., 1845, 5¢ black on greenish (11X1), bottom margin single, type III, position 5, large to gigantic margins except touching upper left, and without the usual pen cancel, beautifully tied by red "St. Louis Mo. Jan. 10" c.d.s. on 1846 folded letter to Jefferson City, matching "Paid" with manuscript "Paid "and "5". Very Fine and choice.
