Bennetts Ferry, N.T., two covers with manuscript postmarks, first May 19, 1856 with "Ferry", other Aug. 25, 1856 with "ferry", each with pen cancelled 3¢ 1851, latter tying, both to Sheldon, Vt., fresh and Fine exhibit pair. Only seven covers are recorded for this post office, which opened on Jan. 28, 1856. In 1857 the name was changed to Otoe City.
