Port Townsend WT/ Oct. 29th 1857, bold manuscript postmark ties cut in 10¢ green type II (14) on white envelope to Jacksonville, Ill. from a member of the North West Border Comm., manuscript "N.W.B. Commission/ Semiahmoo Bay W.T." in a neat hand at upper left, Fine and rare. Port Townsend was established on Sept. 28, 1852 in Oregon Territory.
