Fort Gibson, five covers and one picture postcard, ca. 1866-1907, earliest is Fort Gibson Ark. addressed to "Gen. Stan Watie" at Webber Falls, also blue c.d.s. with "C.N." and addressed to Col. J.M. Bell at Vinita (Bell, an officer of the second Cherokee Mounted Rifles, C.S.A., was Stand Watie's brother-in-law), also #207 pair with "Ind. T." c.d.s. to D.W. Lips, Treasurer Cherokee Nation, and two covers dated 1880 and 1899, Fine lot with an excellent overview of this famous post office. Cherokee.
