United States Maryland stampless cover collection, about 350 covers representing 135 towns, all mounted, written up and identified by Kendall type in eight 3-ring binders. Nearly all are handstamped (about 25 are manuscript) and many scarce markings are included, e.g. Annapolis straight line (type 4), Baltimore straight lines (types 12, 13), Easton (type 2), Ellicotts P. Mills (type 2), Emmitsburg (type 2), Friendship (type 1), Hagerstown (types 3, 8), Halls Cross Roads (unlisted, 1859 with "FREE"), Jennons Run, Port Tobacco, Prince Frederick Town, Snow Hill, and Sykesville (last 5 all type 1). In addition, the bigger towns have a good cross section of types, auxiliary markings and rates; there are 34 Annapolis and 47 Baltimore, for instance. Condition is F-VF throughout with plenty of VF strikes. A wonderful lot.
