U.S. 1852, 1¢ blue, type IV (9), two singles, left with large to huge margins except clear at top, other margins to cutting, used with average #11 and Canada, 3d Beaver (1), full to large margins, tied together by ca. 1854 New-York postmarks and affixed to a small piece; left 1¢ with small scissors cut, 3d with tear, Fine, unique usage.

After July 1, 1851, the combination use of a 3p Beaver and U.S. stamps was against regulations but occasionally tolerated. This is believed to be the only example of a Beaver stamp used with the 1c 1851.
