New Brunswick 1851, 1s dull violet, diagonal bisect (4a), rich full color and sharp impression, large to enormous margins showing portion of adjoining stamp, ideally tied by crisply struck "8" in blue oval grid, on 1858 folded letter to Boston, with matching "Chatham N.B./MA 19 1858" double arc origin datestamp and "St. John New Brunswick" transit c.d.s. (Mar. 21) on reverse, the cover slightly refolded at top and small portions of inside trimmed off for appearance sake, Very Fine usage. SG 6a.
