Nova Scotia 1851, 3d dark blue (3), two singles with large to clear margins except right stamp has small clipped corner, cancelled by barred oval grid and left stamp just tied by light "Paid 10" circular handstamp in red on 1859 (Mar. 7) envelope (small tear at left, bit soiled) from Guysborough to Brooklyn, N.Y. "via Overland Mail" through Truro (Mar. 14), Amherst (Mar. 17) and St. John (Mar. 18), the 6 pence or 10¢ overland rate through St. John and Maine. SG 2.
