Nova Scotia 1860-63, 10¢ vermilion (12), tied by barred oval grid on 1866 folded letter to New York "pr. Express Mail pr. Empress" via Windsor N.S. (Nov. 20), showing "Halifax Nova Scotia/NO 20 66" rimless origin c.d.s. as well as transit on reverse, envelope a little crumpled and soiled, interesting example of the ad hoc usage of the non-contract Favor's Express service by the New Brunswick P.O. whereby mail was placed in special bags by the Windsor Post Office.
