Aug. 24" c.d.s. on illustrated Lodge cover to the telegraph office at St. Johns, New Brunswick, the manuscript note, "Please forward in haste" was taken to heart as it was received the same day, 1869 backstamp, opening tear on reverse still Very Fine and scarce.
