1888, 5¢ indigo (216), well tied by bold "Boston Mass. Apr. 5 `88" duplex on cover to Yokohama, Japan, redirected to Shanghai with bold blue "Walsh, Hall & Co." forwarder's oval, readdressed back to Yokohama and forwarded to Tokyo, various postmarks in English and Japanese, one of latter also tying stamp, Very Fine, superb example of a forwarded Far East usage.
