United States 1930 Europe-Pan America Round Flight, May 18-June 6 (Sieger 64B), cover franked by single $1.30 Zeppelin (C14), underpaid but forwarded anyway with handstamped "Postage due $1.35 cents" ($1.30 short paid plus 5¢ penalty), tied by New York May 5 duplex cancel, red and violet flight cachets alongside, New York and Rio de Janeiro backstamps; accompanied by a small sheet of paper with $1.35 in postage dues applied and a Post Office penalty envelope pencil-addressed to the recipient and marked "Air Mail Zep $1.35"; cover is somewhat worn but otherwise Fine. A truly exceptional and possibly unique usage.
