1847, 5¢ red brown (1), two singles, ample to large margins except top stamp clear at lower right, tied by red square grids, matching "New-York Sep. 25" c.d.s. on buff envelope with additional "BALTIMORE R.R." straightline struck at top, addressed to Boston, manuscript "Paid" in corner; wax seal removed from back and replaced with red paper, otherwise Very Fine usage.
