1861, 5¢ buff (67), single used with 10¢ green (68) on May 1862 two part folded letter to France with datelines from Watertown and Boston, stamps tied by large Paid in grid and 10¢ also tied by "P.D.", boxed Boston exchange postmark at center, contents with some naval related war news including "the rebels have burned the Merrimack," each stamp with small tone spot, otherwise fresh Fine usage.
