Adams' Express Company, black on blue label which reads in part "Letters for seceded States can be forwarded by Adam's Express Company by observing the following directions:" on the back of a cover bearing a 3¢ rose (65) pen cancelled, manuscript postmarked "Rush, N.Y. June 18", addressed to a Chaplain in the 143rd New York State Volunteers at Fort Monroe, Va., open on three sides and reinforced at bottom, still Very Fine and rare [Mosher ADX-L10].
