Switzerland 1937 letter of transmittal of cover salvaged from Hindenburg disaster (Sieger 454), on official Swiss Post Office letterhead, 26 May 1937, attesting that the enclosed letter, addressed to Mr. Julius Lang of Basel, was salvaged from the May 6th Hindenburg disaster; also a letter from the Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei (Zeppelin Transport Co.) dated 22 Jan 1938, confirming that the letter was indeed salvaged from the disaster and was not among the return-trip mail never put aboard the ship; both letters in German with accompanying translations. The next best thing to owning a Hindenburg crash cover. F.-V.F.
