United Fruit Co. steamship service, mostly mounted collection of more than 75 covers from 1911-1951, most from the 1930's. Includes an S.S. Almirante type C3 marking on a post card written on March 12, 1911, possibly the earliest recorded example of a name-of-ship marking. Excellent range of usages, virtually all non-philatelic including covers to and/or from Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, British Honduras, Panama, Bahamas and Jamaica. Two are from the U.S. to Colombia with SCADTA consular airmails, each is a different commercial destination. A wonderful lot that would take many years to duplicate. Estimate 1,000 - 1,500
