F. very fine strikes of red c.d.s. on two covers, each with a "free" handstamp in a different size; first is dated Nov 24, 1827 on a folded letter endorsed "on service", letter is in regards to orders from the War Department; second is dated May 2, 1829 on a folded letter and also endorsed "on service", letter is datelined Camp Clinch in regards to military matters from the headquarters of the 4th infantry; vertical file folds, otherwise Very Fine.

Camp Clinch was in existence from 1823 to 1834 using the Pensacola post office for mail.
