Jessup in Washington, D.C., first is dated April 5 on an 1827 folded letter in regards to problems building the St. Francis Barracks, manuscript "on public service" endorsement; second is dated Aug 30 on an 1827 folded letter in regards to the St. Francis barracks needing repairs and public boat reporting, each with file folds and some splitting, Fine, two of the three recorded examples of the type XII postmark in black with free handstamps.
