St. Mark Florida Feb 24, fine strike of c.d.s. with manuscript day with matching "free" handstamp and manuscript "on service" on 1837 folded letter to Brig. Gen R. Jones in Washington, D.C., datelined Fort Brooke with a letter from a Captain reading "… I arrived here on the 12th with a hundred and nineteen recruits from New York", Very Fine.
