Samoa, 1914, 2½d on 20 pf ultramarine, variety surcharge double, second surcharge with 2½d at top and applied across two stamps (SG 104e var.), being the left pair in a horizontal strip of three, on piece, tied by "Apia (Samoa)/ 24.11.14" c.d.s. Very Fine. Spectacular and excessively rare example illustrating that it was at least one vertical row of the sheet which received the double surcharge. Michel 4DD var.
