Samoa, 1914, 6d on 50pf black and purple on buff, variety surcharge double and one stamp with inverted "9" for "6" (SG 108a, 108ab/ Gibbs 8b, c), in an incomparable vertical pair, each stamp has surcharge double and the lower stamp also has an inverted "9" for "6", tied on piece by "Apia (Samoa)/ 12.9.14". Very Fine. A matchless variety. Michel 8DD, 8IDD.
