15 rappen was the rate for a letter carried a distance of 25 to 40 miles, Vévey being approximately 30 miles from Sion.
Zumstein’s 16II Sfd is a vertical bisect and is priced at Sfr 17,500 ($13,825), Scott’s listing does not specify but is likely to also be for a vertical half.
