1857, 1¢ blue, type Ic (19b), middle stamp in a vertical strip of three with two type 111a (22) position 37-47-57L4, tied by manuscript cancels on cover to Schenevus, N.Y., matching manuscript "W. Washington, Me May 10" postmark with year date "59" apparently added later; name of addressee lightened, few defective perfs on the two type II, Fine and scarce. Plated by Ashbrook.
