Postage Due, 1891, 2¢ bright claret (J23 var.), tied by target cancel alongside "Thompson, N.Y. Oct 3 1895" c.d.s. on cover franked with 1¢ blue (264) tied by Boston flag cancel, Oct. 2, addressed to Thompsons Mills, backstamped Schuylersville and Thompson; Thompson d.c.s. on reverse breaks paper, Very Fine and unique. The cover was sent unsealed but apparently was found to contain correspondence, necessitating the additional 1¢.
